What is a good shampoo/conditioner to use for damaged hair that breaks a lot?

Anyone have any recommendations? What is a good shampoo/conditioner to use for damaged hair that breaks a lot?
first, diet has a lot to do with the health of your hair, so try taking vitamins and eating healthy, i.e. fruit, veggies, and protein. Healthy fats like olive oil can add the needed oils to your hair if it is too dry. Use olive oil when cooking, but also you may want to give yourself an oil treatment directly on y our hair. Set a small bottle of olive oil in a sink full of hot water to heat the oil , just so it is warm to the touch; pour oil into your hands and massage into your scalp, working down and thoroughly working into the ends of your hair; leave this in for ten minutes or so, then shampoo. You may need to shampoo twice to get the oil out. I use Pantene pro V hydrating curls 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner, and it works well for me. Also, you might try a leave in condioner, like infusium, or pantene, after you are done.

If your hair has severe damage, trim as much of the damaged hair off as possible. Split ends will continue splitting up the hair shaft and damaging the hair. To trim the shorter hairs, take a strand of hair and twist it all the way down, so that little shorter hairs are poking out of the strand. Trim these little short hairs sticking out. And of course, trim the ends too.

I hope his helps. What is a good shampoo/conditioner to use for damaged hair that breaks a lot?
Okay I had the same problem..Ive tried every shampoo/conditioner under the sun, from cheap to salon stuff. Not to mention im a cosmetologist.. and the only ones that work for me are infusium 23 for dry/color treated hair and I SWEAR by hello hydration by herbal essence it makes your hair SOOOOO soft and healthy..i LOVE IT!!
either aussie or VO5...both do wonders for damaged hair
I recommend getting a haircut, and oo, i just got this pantene pro-v smooth and sleek, it's in the green lable bottle, I love it. Even the shampoo feels like you're rinsing out conditioner. Nice.
I would go to a salon and get what's called a ';power dose';, I think it's by redken-- but you can't buy it on the shelves. You get it once a month and it strenghtens and shines your hair up completely. It's great!!
I always find Pantene effective for damaged hair - adds great moisture to my hair and makes it feel great too.!
Please don't use anything from the supermarket shelves. They don't work and just make the problem worse.

Go to a good hair salon and ask one of the hairdressers. The salon brands are so much more effective.
dove always works for me. if your not into that, try pantene.
i recomend pantene pro-V coz i had damaged hair like yours and it really worked!!
I like Redken Clear Moisture. It fixed my hair the last time it was damaged. Redken also maks an anti-snap formula that works great, it's like a leave-in treatment.
i'm black and i use the original pantene pro v, (not for colored hair). it works wonders for me.
drink more water. And I like Outrageous or Aussie shampoo/conditioners
you need to put some protein back into your hair, biolage fortifying shampoo and conditioner. also be very careful when its wet. don't brush , comb and don't tye it up, and easy off chemical services and heat, after you use the shampoo for a week you can introduce heat and chemical services back slowwwwwwwwwly!!! good luck
i use dove therapy =D i love dove shampoos, deoderants, lotions, everything! =)
Loreal has a line called Elseve, it's really good for breakage hair. It can reduce 95% of breakage! I would recommend its hair treatment!
Try Fortified Amino Scalp Therapy (FAST) shampoo and conditioner. It provides all the essential ingredients to promote strong, healthy hair growth.
wow, why does your hair break so much? You should have it cut and look into a healthier diet. Conditioner can only do so much.
Hi, i use Mane N Tail shampoo and Conditioners. It has worked great for me. I've used a variety of shampoo's and conditioners and this has worked the best for my by far.
