im looking for something i dont have to buy online. thanks so much :)What shampoo/conditioner would you reccommend for my hair type?
You should try Sunsilk.

You can buy it at supermarkets for pretty cheap.

I use it, and it really helps frizz and dry hair!

The name is actually Sunsilk Shampoo and Conditioner for Frizzy Hair!

Works great!

(:

What is the best shampoo/conditioner for thick hair?

So, I have thick hair. It has a lot of body and overall is just thick, like most thick hair it can get frizzy and what not. It is also a bit wavy.

I was wondering, what is the best shampoo/conditioner for it that I can buy just at like my local drug store?

Thanks! What is the best shampoo/conditioner for thick hair?
I have the same exact kind of hair. I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo paired with their Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner. I also use the conditioner on my daughter's hair because her hair is thick %26amp; naturally curly. I usually buy it at Target. I like to use a comb to distribute the conditioner through my hair evenly and then let it soak in for about 5 minutes or so. I have never found anything else that has worked better on my hair and I highly recommend it.What is the best shampoo/conditioner for thick hair?
I have really thick hair, also, and I have bought so many different shampoos and conditioners and none of them have worked. I recently tried Burt's Bee's grapefruit shampoo and conditioner and it worked great for me. It gently cleaned without adding more to my hair and weighing it down. I also like Aussie's shampoos and conditioners. I would try Burt's Bees, its the best I have found so far. Hope I helped! :)
I have the thickest hair i have ever seen on a person. I personally like Bedhead Control Freak by Tigi. Its really nice. There are four Control Freak products, its used to tame curly and frizzy hair, but i've found it helps tame the thickness of my hair. I do straighten my hair and have found it a lot easier to straighten after using these products.
My hair is SUPER thick and I've looked and looked for a solution since I was about 7 years old. I'm 15 now and so far the absolute BEST shampoo/conditioner has been Mane n' Tails. It doesn't way your hair down and it detangles better than anything I've ever used.
i get thick hair from my native american side... but all hair types are different, and head n shoulders original formula works the best 4 me.
even i have thick hair i use garnier fructis long and strong or dove and i found dove the best it makes my hair very soft

  • What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?

I have frizzy, dry, curlyish hair, it gets greasy if I don't wash it everyday. What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy? I want straighter, shiny, silky un-frizzy, and un-hideous hair.

Anybody know the best shampoo conditioner system? What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?
well, it's expensive because it works, but you really should listen to this one. it is called:

BIOLAGE smooth therape ; it's a line of hair care. buy the whole line and you will get results in about two weeks because your hair has to get used to it. it comes with a shampoo, conditioner, and a smoothing serum which is water based, so it won't leave a film of it on your hair.

btw: if somebody tells you to use a dime sized amount of the shampoo, don't listen to them, more of the shampoo is better, and because you're hair is greasy only put the conditioner on the hair that lines up from your ears down. no scalp.

%26amp;%26amp; lastly, nobody can get straight hair with a shampoo, so straighten it, as long as you condition you will avoid split ends. get haircuts every six weeks. What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?
go for a particular hair care routine that fits your hair type

I'm thinking of perming my hair with medium-super tight curls. I would just like to know in advance which shampoo and conditioner will be best for my hair.

What is the best shampoo/conditioner for oily hair?

What is the best shampoo/conditioner for oily hair that can be bought at the grocery or drug store? What is the best shampoo/conditioner for oily hair?
tresseme 2 in 1 you wont go backWhat is the best shampoo/conditioner for oily hair?
Tresseme 2 in 1. I've always had oily hair and was making it worse by using harsher shampoos thinking that the stronger the shampoo, the more oil I could wash out. The opposite is the case, however, because your scalp produces oil and when it is dry it has to overcompensate by producing more oil. So use a mild, moisturizing conditioner/shampoo like the aforementioned.
Probably Treseme or Fruiticus. Those are really good. My friend had really oily hair and she used both. I tried them even though I don't have oily hair, and they smell awesome!
    Have you tried Herbal Essences?

They have the Degunkify and Drama Clean.... both work very well on oily hair. After one use, it made my hair feel so fresh and non-oily! LOVE it
Try a White Nettle product. I used to use a St Ives brand...I think it's discontinued now. But something of that ilk will work very well.
I agree with .Music., Herbal Essences make some great shampoo for oily hair.

What is the difference between: shampoo, conditioner and, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner?

I would like to know what difference it makes to your hair's look and feel when you only use one of them or use them together. What is the difference between: shampoo, conditioner and, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner?
Shampoo is what cleans your hair. It's basically soap for your hair, it removes dirt, oil, sweat etc. However, while cleaning your hair and cleaning it of impurities, it usually drys out your hair at the same time. That's why you need to use a conditioner after you shampoo.

Conditioner is what moisturizes and protects your hair. It makes your hair feel much softer and it also restores some of the moisture that the shampoo has previously cleaned off. Using conditioner on its own will not clean your hair. I have personally used conditioner on its own thinking it was shampoo for a week, and what it did to my hair was that it made it seem like I had really oily hair that wasn't very clean.

2 in 1 shampoos include both shampoo and conditioner, I guess if you would really had dry hair and wanted to use a 2 in 1 shampoo and then a conditioner that would be fine. Although the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, I find is not as effective as doing the shampoo first and then the conditioner on its own.

8C Hellppp! My hair feels fried, but there is no breakage so its not REALLLY damagedWhat is the best shampoo/conditioner to use on colored/bleached hair to repair damage done during coloring?
I've had a lot of blonde panels put in this past month and I've been using the Biolage shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. It smells amazing and is really good to your hair :)

-SamWhat is the best shampoo/conditioner to use on colored/bleached hair to repair damage done during coloring?
I do know of a Natural Hair lotion which is 100% free of chemicals. I have been using for almost one year

Ziravie combines tradition, science and nature to provide a mixture of natural nutrients, minerals and vitamins, which act on the scalp in depth, that in turn stimulates strong, healthy, robust hair growth, strengthening hair roots, and reduces thinning , hair loss and baldness.

I used to buy from Spain but now it is available on ebay.co.uk under ID of hair-treatment. It is called Ziravie.

They offer external and internal nutrition which helps a lot. Using this lotion I feel Health and Beauty comes into Harmony

Is there a good shampoo/conditioner that works with hard water?

I use natural shampoos but they just aren't cutting it because our water is so hard. I know we need a water softener but that's not practical right now.Is there a good shampoo/conditioner that works with hard water?
IF you go to a beauty supply store, they will carry shampoos and conditioners that wil help take out the hard water mineral deposits.

Kerastase is one. IT's got a citrusy, grapefruity smell to it.Is there a good shampoo/conditioner that works with hard water?
you could try L'Oreal Vive. i don't know how well it will work with your water, but i do know that it is the only shampoo that made ppl notice how shiny my hair was.
Infusium 23. it's awesome! Try the moistureology one.
I live in the west mids which has the hardest water in Britan and I use Tresseme, it works wonders also Dove shampoo's r good and they smell great.

    XxGood LuckxX
I have had good luck with Paul Mitchell products. Also, Nexxus makes a shampoo that really helps-it is a demineralizer. I wouldn't use it every day, but once every week or two really helped me out.

Is there anything that will work? Any special shampoo or hair wrap or anything? What can make your hair so strong, silky and shiny, like in all the shampoo/conditioner commercials?
try pantene pro v full and thick, the shampoo and conditioner. it is amazingWhat can make your hair so strong, silky and shiny, like in all the shampoo/conditioner commercials?
I am a liscenced hairstylist. Silky shiny ';looking'; hair can be achieved by using a combination of products. Using the right products for shine and softness is great, along a regime of brushing your hair daily. Using a natural boar bristle brush, brush your hair from root to end to distribute your body's natural moisturizers (oils) will keep your hair soft smooth and shiny. Definately the healthier simpler way ;)

Take a look at http://www.raincry.com for video demonstrations and more information on the importance of brushing.
I read that if you condition just the ends of your hair, it will become more silky and shiny. It was also suggested to condition the ends twice. I have found that if you take the time to really rinse after each conditioning to the point of squeekiness, the hair will become more fluffy, shiny and managable
Depending on what hair type you are there are many products out that can help. I would suggest going to sally beauty supply in your local area and getting help from the staff there. Its open to the public and believe me they are great in helping with problem hair. hope this helped. I work there so I know.
pantine pro v sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner. makes your hair super silky smooth. but you have to blowdry your hair and straighten it to really get what you want
Actually, putting vinegar in your hair works pretty well. You just wash it out really well, or else your hair will look oily. Also, Herbal Essences conditioner and shampoos are really effective.
Yes don't use as much shampoo/conditioner that can work or you can brush your hair 4 to 8 times a day......

    Try Herbal Essencess
Well, my hair is really dry, but Biolage shampoo works miracles!

Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?

Or should I only use one conditioner? Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?
My hair stylist told me that theres no need to use conditioner if are using a deep conditioner, because it can get your hair damaged. But I personally think, that you should get a deep conditioner once a week, because it can leave your hair greasy when you use it too much, or it will lose its effect.

If your not going out or anything, give your hair a rest and just use shampoo and conditioner as normally. :)Is it OK for me to shampoo, conditioner, and then deep conditioner all in one shower?
Shampoo and condition every night; do a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioner once a week; also, after a towel dry, you can take a little bit of conditioner- about a dime size each hand, and rub in into your hair and leave it. No need to buy the so called ';leave-in'; conditioners- this works just as well.
    yeah that's fine.

personally i do a co-wash;; wash my hair with just conditioner, and the use deep conditioner afterward. it leaves your hair soft and silky, and it's actually healthier [shampoos strip your hair.].

but yess, you can do all three, no problem.
shampoo about 3 times a week to prevent drying your hair out, condition every time you shower, deep condition once a week to prevent weighing your hair down.
I do every day! and i have a lott of hair. i do mainly bc i don't want any damage. but if you're hair is prone to grease/build up i wouldn't! :)
It's much healthier for your hair with only one conditioner.

But whatever, some people enjoy having ruined hair.
It's fine , but you don't need to deep condition every single shower...
i don't really think it makes a difference

Well this is probably not going to answer your question but I just go natural. I use honey as a shampoo. I know. It sounds weird but it WORKS. I have black hair - kinda nappy. When I use honey as a shampoo or I leave in it for an hour or two, it makes it extremely soft and I can comb right through it. When you apply honey on longer hair, it volumizes the hair and conditions it. You can look it up anywhere. Honey has been a natural conditioning hair treatment for years.

If you want reccomend your favorite shampoo and conditioner....just not Herbal Essences, Pantene, Suave, White Rain, or Loreal. How can you tell if a shampoo has a lot of chemicals/fav shampoo conditioner?

What is the best shampoo/conditioner for dry scalp?

I have tried Neutrogena, Avon, and H%26amp;S. A long time ago, I used the T-gel and I think I have even tried Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree. I think that one worked really well, but it was pricey. What is an affordable yet effective shampoo for dry scalp? What is the best shampoo/conditioner for dry scalp?
    Try Dove Therapy shampoo/conditioner.

It really works =)What is the best shampoo/conditioner for dry scalp?
Any shampoo or conditioner that has T-Tree oil in it will work wonders. I would also suggest not washing everyday (if you have to just do a cool water rinse) to let your scalp produce its natural hair olis.
I prefer Head and Shoulders.......Nexxus...............and Tresemme..........sure they can be pricey but it's your hair that counts.Think about getting your hair washed everyday in a salon..............that approx. costs about $30.Wouldn't you pay $5-$10?
try head and shoulders and then after you wash it then grease your scalp at least twic a week because grease will wear your hair now especially with two much grease.
i use this tea shampoo, its in a green squarish container, and I don't have my scalp ish as all it like cools your scalp. sorry but i can't think of the name and i just ran out. I think i got it at a nutrition store they are always the best for your hair.
Dove therapy shampoo/conditioner i use it its awesome
Try Neutrogena... they are bit pricy but work really well and you do not have to use them daily, use them 1 or 2x a week. If you have really bad dry scalp, nothing over the counter will help you since you are probably inflicted with psoraisis (spelling?). You should seek the assistance of a dermatologist if its that bad.
U could try head and shoulders or just look at shampoo bottles and check to c if its for dry scalp.
try laying off the products and let your natural oils come through.

What is the mildest shampoo & conditioner you can buy?

Johnsons baby shampoo. What is the mildest shampoo %26amp; conditioner you can buy?
For internal nourishment you need Vitamin A, B 6, B 12 and E plus proteins.

External nourishment can also be deep oil treatment with coconut or almond oil but to strengthen my hair roots and to hydrate my scalp I use Ziravie lotion which has coconut, olive, avocado and Aragan oil plus herbs.

The best shampoo I have come accross is Ziravie. It is pH balanced and fruit based.
Catile soap Is the best, I buy a big bottle for like 14 dollars at target. And it last me the whole year because I mix I oz. of castile soap witha 12 oz, water.

well this isn't a shampoo or conditioner but Dr. Miracle works pretty well it's call gro oil makes your scalp feel really good

    hope this help
Wheatgerm shampoo/conditioner. But there is a home remedy for this problem. Take a cup of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water for a couple of hours. blend with water in a blender to get a paste. apply the paste in your scalp and let it remain for half an hour to 45 mins. Rinse without using any shampoo, preferably under a running tap and not shower. it is a great natural conditioner and is also a cleanser. Also try massaging some good oil like coconut, almond or any other that you may get in your country, in your scalp once a week and wrap your head in hot towels to allow your pores to open. Then wash with the fenugreek paste. You will see good results in a month. Your hair will be shiny and your scalp healthy. The key to keep naturally dry type of scalp free from itching is to wash it once a week or twice at the most if you must. But be sure that you oil your scalp atleast once a week before washing.

What shampoo/ Conditioner or hair products make your hair smooth and shiny?

My hair is dry and frizzy. I dye my hair once a month with semi permanent hair and straighten about 2-3 times a week. My hair just seems damaged and dry. So does anyone know any good products that make your hair healthy or smoother? Thanks for to all who answer. Also, money is not a problem so any hair products are great. Thanks:)What shampoo/ Conditioner or hair products make your hair smooth and shiny?
The best shampoo and conditioner. there are 2: erbal essences hydrolishious shampoo and conditioner (they all smell really good 2!) or pantine shampoo and conditioner they are my favorits! and work really good and they dont cost that much! :)What shampoo/ Conditioner or hair products make your hair smooth and shiny?
Next time you visit the grocery store, go to the cosmetics aisle and go to the section that has hair products. Locate the Pantene products and look for the bottle labeled ';smooth';. It might have something like ';smooth and silky';, but just look for the bottle with the green label (not ';classic clean'; because that also comes in a green bottle).

What is a good shampoo/conditioner for thick-medium length hair?

My Daughter who is twelve neeeds a good shampoo/conditioner that will detangle her very thick hair, leave it smooth and easy to manage. It is medium length, not very long. What is a good shampoo/conditioner for thick-medium length hair?
ehh.. I don't like cheap shampoos for my hair.

I would use something from a salon, it's a little more expensive, but works wayy better. I never use herbal essences or suaave.

Try matrix, or biolage (sometimes they even have $25 liter sales) which is not that bad. Back to basics works well too.

    I like this new shampoo I am using becuase it makes my hair feel very clean, it's by rusk called...';full';

I also use indian oil on my hair a few times a week at night, and wash it out in the morning. It can be a little messy, you may want to cover her pillow, but my hair is super soft and manageble. (My indian friend turned me onto it...she has beautiful hair!!) You can buy it at any ethnic indian store-

There are tons of great leave in conditioners as well,

I like bed head- split end mender

    and kenra, leave-in spray conditoner.

My hair is thick and I used to have that problem but I use Pantene Pro V and it worked really good for me ( the green one in particular - there's all kinds for different hair )

Idk, maybe you should try it
loreal, and SCHAUMA, that's the best shampoo i've ever tried, and i've got hair just like your daughter's =]

good luck, i hope i helped!!
My hair is the same and I would come out of the shower and I would still have tangles and it hurts like .................... really bad! But then my mom started bying tresemme and it works great! Oh but Panteene Pro V also works great.
I have hair just like that, and I use Herbal Essence Drama Clean. It makes it smooth and very clean and good-smelling! =) Hope this helps.
John freida collection, brilliant brunnette it works really good ,or loreal paris.
I have been jumping back and forth between Pantene and Herbal essence and I would say go with Herbal Essence...the one for frizzy hair

What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long brown hair?

I'm a guy and I've been growing my hair out the past few months, and as it's gotten longer, it's become more and more unmanageable. I'll wash it 2 or 3 times with Pert Plus, but within seconds of stepping out of the shower, it's all tangly and dehydrated-feeling. Any tips on keeping my hair softer and more controllable? What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long brown hair?
I found that the Tresseme line is one of the best I have tried. I tried Pantene and it's garbage. It made my hair greasy. I like the John Frieda line too. Pert Plus isn't that great of a shampoo, especially if it is a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner.

If you want to deep condition, leave it in longer than the bottle says. And as for a detangler, you can use Johnson's detangler for kids, or Sleek Look by Matrix. What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long brown hair?
john frieda's brilliant brunette collection made my brown hair dry. You need to drop a little $$ and get a moisturizing shampoo such as paul mitchell and get a moisturizing conditioner (try to get both products made by the same manufacturer- And then- if you have time, try to deep condition your hair once a week- if that is ridiculous to you- just by a spray-in leave-in conditioner that also detangles. (you spray it on when you get out of the shower and it detangles and makes it shiny, and continued use makes your hair more managable.) I recommend thermasilk leave-in conditioner and detangler (especially if you blowdry your hair. good luck!

What shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair really works?

I just bleached my hair and it's a gorgeous strawberry blonde. Anyways my hair color tends to fade so fast!! I want this light color to last as long as possible!

Any shampoo/conditioners that really work and helps color from fading? thanksWhat shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair really works?
    pantene

.What shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair really works?
The best way to protect your color is to wash your hair less. Don't wash it every day; try every other day, and put your hair up in a showercap on days you don't wash.

Try a color-protecting shampoo to keep hair vibrant when you do wash it; pantene makes really nice shampoo.
I dye my hair blond. I use Pantene Texture Shampoo and Pantene Protecting leave in spray conditioner. I have had great resutls with them.
you bleached hair. you took the color out, you didnt put any in. so there wont be any fade
buy TRESemme and it says that on the bottle ';for color treated hair'; or something like that i think
nothing works as good as it should:[ try redken (sp?)

What kind of shampoo+conditioner can I buy to make my hair look shiny?

Does anyone know where I can find hair products which make your hair shiny? Also, does anyone know where I can find 'Tee Tree Oil' products? What kind of shampoo+conditioner can I buy to make my hair look shiny?
Garnier Fructis Sleek%26amp;shine shampoo%26amp;conditioner. NOT the mix. get the conditioner in the little container. trust me, its what i use. and I have dry, frizzy hair. and it REALLY works, just try it.What kind of shampoo+conditioner can I buy to make my hair look shiny?
I would purchase something from you stylist or from a beauty supply store. never from the supermarket. And purchase something with protien to strengthen the hair. Joico has a great product called K-pak. It has Shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, shine products, leave-ins, ect.

Nexxus brand shampoo and conditioner is probibly the best if you have unruly-it really helps! The shampoo is called Therappe, and the conditioner is called Humectress!
it depends on what type of hair u have
i use l'oreal elveve nurti gloss (pink bottle) it is fab! smells nice too,i have also tried pantenne ince shine! both of these are gr8 shampoos!
i use herbal essences and it works it also smells terrific!
Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner will do the trick.

  • What is the best hair care shampoo/conditioner product?

I'm not really looking for fancy salon brand/organic shampoos mostly because I wash my hair everyday, so I wouldn't want to spend too much. I've been using herbal essences for a LONG time, but I've heard that it's bad for your hair? My hair is thick and long. I want it to be soft, shiny, etc. Also, to stay thick(: Thanks. What is the best hair care shampoo/conditioner product?
Pantene is a good company I'm not sure if it's good or bad for your hair but I know it works well it makes your hair really soft and shiny I got pantene shampoo and conditioner for 2$ or something each at a sale it'll probably work unless your hair is layered then I'm not sure and head and shoulders is a good company too it's organic and good for your hair. What is the best hair care shampoo/conditioner product?
If you like HE and the fragrance stay with it. Herbal Essences is not bad for your hair. Be skeptical of the source of that information. I developed hair care and skin care products for over 25 years, around the globe, large and small, retail and salon. I'm retired and I did not work in HE. There is too much hype and misinformation in the system.

As one person noted, Pantene is also a very good choice but a little more expensive. They offer a few more treatment choices, for example if you want to emphasize thickness.

You would probably benefit from rotating your shampoo for a week after you finish a bottle of HE. Maybe buy a very small bottle of Pantene or use another family members shampoo for a week. Then go back to your favorite shampoo. Enjoy your shampoo, guilt free.
you would never get long term good results with cheap drugstore products, the secret with professional shampoos and conditioners is that they contain the best ingredients that are gentle on hair. My suggestions are L'oreal, neutrogena, keune etc.

    http://www.helium.com/items/1203324-hair-care-tips
    DONT BUY PANTENE.

that lady obviously doesnt know what shes talking about, she didnt even spell the brand name right.

Pantene tests on animals. Enough said. and besides it dries out your hair.
Pantine is really the best line of shampoos and conditioners to go with.

Trust me, they do what they say..

    Hope I could help.

Is it okay to use a shampoo/conditioner for color treated on hair that has never been colored?

I seem to get better results when I use shampoo's for color treated hair. Is this okay?Is it okay to use a shampoo/conditioner for color treated on hair that has never been colored?
I don't see why not. It may actually be good for your hair because when you color your hair it takes out a lot of oils and damages the roots and ends. Color treatment shampoos and conditioners are formed to give back moisturizers to help replenish and heal the hair. So if anything i'm sure it'll be just fine to use them.Is it okay to use a shampoo/conditioner for color treated on hair that has never been colored?
Of course. It is perfectly fine to use it on your own hair.

We buy that shampoo and conditioner, i use it, it's awesome!
    yes

    xx
    yes its fine

What's the best line of shampoo/conditioner to use?

I have natural really curly hair. I was using Pantene, but I heard it isn't good for your hair becase it damages it.What's the best line of shampoo/conditioner to use?
I LOVE Lush shampoos and conditioners! Lush is an all-natural bath/body line using fresh, organic ingredients. No harsh chemicals. Each product is handmade and come with an expiration date (now that's fresh!) and a sticker showing who made it. Not a single ingredient that goes into their products is tested on animals, so you can feel good about using them.

For curly hair, I would recommend their Curly Wurly shampoo. It contains coconut and vanilla and is $19.50 for a 7.8oz tub. Follow up with Coolaulin coconut conditioner (3.3 oz for $8.75 or 8.4 oz for $17.45) and use King of Mods, a grapefruit and lime soft hold gel to style (3.5 oz for $16.45). Yes, it's a little pricy, but so worth it. Once you use Lush, you will never want to use anything else!

P.S. While you're there, check out their soaps and bath bombs-- they are what got me hooked in the first place. What's the best line of shampoo/conditioner to use?
I am currently using Pantene too and I have curly/wavy hair. And so far, it's been good. But so far, the best shampoo I have used are from the Dove's range. It's gentle and I love how it won't even dry out my hair on bad days. Makes my hair feel soft too! :)
aussie, biolage, loreal, anythting else by matrix, paul mithchell
I love Aussie shampoos and conditioners, especially their three minute miracle conditioners.

Which type of shampoo/conditioner will work for my hair?

I've tried using lots of different brands of shampoo/conditioner from garnier to suave and each one doesn't seem to work for my hair. I have wavy hair but it seems like every shampoo/conditioner i use weighs down my hair and makes it feel very greasy later in the day. I haven't found a shampoo/conditioner that will make my hair soft and clean feeling for the entire day and perhaps into the next. I used to use Herbal Essences and that worked really well, until they changed their whole product line. Does anyone know a shampoo/conditioner brand that I could try that would work for my hair? I think that the moisturizing shampoos give me too much buildup but sometimes my hair feels dry at the ends so I don't even know what my hair type is. Hopefully someone will have some advice....Which type of shampoo/conditioner will work for my hair?
Matrix 'Sleek Look' product line is GREAT! It leaves hair silky smooth without weighing it down and gives great body and volume to hair without looking frizzy. Although it is only sold in professional salons, it is the best!

p.s. This is the shampoo and conditioner I use, so I am not just making this up. :)Which type of shampoo/conditioner will work for my hair?
Try the Infusium shampoo and conditioner. They also have a leave-in hair treatment that is great. I've used it for years!
Don't use those hair products from the drug stores, they just weigh down your hair. They really are not good for your hair either. Try Redken, All Soft shampoo %26amp; conditioner (yellow bottles)...they are great and leave your hair very soft, non greasy.
Next time you go to the salon ask your stylist what type of shampoo you should use. Your stylist will know what kind you should use.
Biolage-buy it from a salon, not a grocery store. But theres a beauty secret Im going to share with you. Take about 1/8 tsp of baking soda and mix it with your nickel size amount of shampoo. This strips all the buildup on your hair without having to go out and buying a clarifing shampoo. Then when you rinse use your conditioner and you will get that clean hair feeling.
    try the Aussie product line

I used the Moist and it works really well.

I use Pantine Pro-V....It smells amaizing, leaves your hair silky and smooth, and it has different kinds for different types of hair. Also once a week I use a Sunsilk conditioner- It also comes in different kinds for example: My hair gets dry and damaged and i had lots of split ends so I use Sunsilk-Hydra TLC, for dry hair with split ends....lots of choices....works wonders....I've gotten lots of complements on my hair ever since i started using both products
Joico Daily Balancing Shampoo w/ the Lite Conditioner or Pantene conditioner for curly hair applied to the ends.
try biolage of loreal vive pro it really works espiallu the loreal vive pro tr it the bottle is pink from rite aid
    neutrogena.
i like to use dove products. but you should experiment until you find something for your hair
I like the shampoos at the salons. They tend to have the ones that are more hair friendly. Look for Ammonium in shampoo. It is what you want to avoid. I condition every day, but I use very little. I shampoo only four days a week and like to use a different brand/ style once a week to reduce build up. I know the salon shampoos are pricey, but it is your hair and it it one of the things so many people notice.
I really recomend dove! I use it and it works great! Also, be sure to get the wieghtless moztiruer kind because that seems to be the kind you need!

What kind of shampoo/conditioner is best for long, curly hair?

My hair is naturally curly, therefore it is also naturally frizzy. I need something that can control the frizz and accent the curls. Also, I want some kind of serum or cream that I can put in afterwards, preferably something that makes your hair soft, not sticky and wet looking. Any ideas? What kind of shampoo/conditioner is best for long, curly hair?
try garnier fructis, i have your exact kind of hair!

garnier fructis works specifically to elimenate frizz, and leave hair hydrated and soft...

also, when you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair and put in the Aussie Leave In Conditioner...

this is the routine i use, and it really keeps my hair frizz free and healthy! What kind of shampoo/conditioner is best for long, curly hair?
Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner: Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine! I used to have long hair (its now layered, the longest layered being slightly past my shoulders) and it definitely kept my hair healthy. I have naturally curly as well %26amp; it can be pretty frizzy at times. (:

Styling products: I really like Sunsilk Captivating Curls 24/7 creme (green bottle). It leaves hair soft %26amp; frizz free. But, I also like mousse, %26amp; I really like Herbal Essences Totally Twisted. Other options are Tresemme's Curl Care %26amp; Suave Professional Healthy Curls.

Hope this helps %26amp; good luck! (:

That means you aren't washing your shampoo all the way out. When rinsing shampoo rinse if for about 3 minutes.

And when using conditioner, do not do your roots, because that'll make it oily, and it will irritate the scalp.
I use Selsun Blue and my doctor recommended that I leave it in for 5 minutes o let the medication work. It works great for me!! Or maybe you should see a doctor. You should also use Tea Tree Oil.
    Try some scalp therapy shampoos.

Is there a shampoo/conditioner that I can use to help wash out my highlights?

I have been trying to grow out my highlights since last August, but I'm starting to grow impatient with them. Is there a shampoo/conditioner that will help wash it out faster? Is there a shampoo/conditioner that I can use to help wash out my highlights?
go to sallys beauty store and buy a toner.....Clairol has great toners.......have the manager help you as usually they are licensed cosmetologistIs there a shampoo/conditioner that I can use to help wash out my highlights?
I don't believe there's a shampoo to get rid of dye or anything. Depending on what kind of highlights you got, you can get rid of them in different ways. If you used a bleach based product that takes color out of your hair, you'll either have to wait it out or dye it again. If you used a dye product (like caramel), you can get a chemical strip to get all of the dyes out of your hair. As for a quick wash, I doubt there's anything out there. Stripping your hair is fairly inexpensive though if you do it yourself, but as I said, if you have blond highlights like most people get with a bleach base, the only way to get rid of it quickly is to dye it. Good luck.
    use a strong anti-dandruff one

  • Recommendations for effective and good shampoo/conditioner?

I need some recommendations for shampoo/conditioner that will restore dry, damaged hair and possibly shine it.

products fro the drug store will build up on your hair with a waxy build up.Iwould recommend something from the hair salons .Reddken is good to put moisture back in the hair and restore shine by using a shine mist or drops and dont shampoo your hair everyday .Recommendations for effective and good shampoo/conditioner?
Avoid hair products that contain sodium chloride, or if you can't, choose those that contain very low amounts of it (you can tell by how far down in the list of chemical ingredients it is on the label).

It tends to dry out your hair, and serves mainly, if not only, to expand the yield during production (more product produced = more product sold = more revenue).

I've been quite happy with the ';Brilliant Brunette'; line.
I use a special conditioner made by Sunsilk- Sunsilk Hydra TLC....It comes in a pink container and I have to say its absolutly amazing!!!! It is specificly for dry, damaged hair. Perfect, huh?
Yes! Smeone finally agrees with my suggestions. You can also try Sunsilk or Aussi. I think that is how you spell it. And f you don't know or reconize Aussi, it is the one with the white and purple container. Their mascot is a Kangoroo! I hope that i helped.

Use olive oil prior to showering, leave it in for thirty minutes. The I use a more expensive shampoo and condinioner, pureology is what I use. It;s very expensive, like 200 for the shampoo and conditioner, but it works amazingly Shampoo twice, leave conditioner in for ten minutes or overnight and shower out in the morning.
cream of nature.... you may be thinking but that's for black people but that's a reason why its good. white peoples hair is naturally oilier then a black persons, but if they have damaged dry brittle hair this shampoo will work very well. i use it in my hair %26amp; its always very nice %26amp; moisturizing ... i swear by it... try it?
i like this shampoo by dove it is for moisturizing... if forgot exactly what it is called....but it comes in a brown bottle... I love it... and it smells good!!!

btw...for that one guy question i had an idea you were talking about taylor lautner...wow!!! that is the only thing that can describe him

    lol
I suggest Biolage. From personal experience, I can tell you like there really is no other shampoo like Biolage, it's incredible. Also, Kerastase makes good shampoos for dry hair.

If you want your hair soft and shinier, I recommend you use a wooden comb to comb your hair everyday. The natural wood can promote blood circulation around the scalp, bring the natural oil from root down to the end, so hair look healthier and shinier
Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.I love it.

How come every time I use a new shampoo & conditioner, my hairstyle looks better?

I used a new shampoo and conditioner this morning, and my hair turned out better than my regular shampoo %26amp; conditioner-style. No new styling products, and I used a cheaper shampoo than my regular hair-salon product. But this happens every time I change shampoos. Does this even make sense? How come every time I use a new shampoo %26amp; conditioner, my hairstyle looks better?
yes it does, you're supposed to change your shampoo %26amp; conditioner because your hair gets used to the ones you use all the time! I change mine every month or so, i have a couple different ones I choose between. How come every time I use a new shampoo %26amp; conditioner, my hairstyle looks better?
I think because the new one (cheaper) probably has more detergent and is more harsh so it cleans all of the residue off your hair better than the nice expensive conditioning one. I do that to my daughters hair every once in a while to get it really clean. But then I switch back because the cheap-o one all the time would be too harsh and drying.
This happens to me too! I think your hair probably looks better now because your new shampoo removed all of the build-up left by the other products that you were using before. That's why it's a good idea to switch up your shampoo and conditioner routine once and awhile.

You see a shampoo advert and it makes you feel good.

You buy the product and you feel just like the girl on the ad!

See where im going with this :)?

it's probably just a mind thing because I always think that too. I don't think it really has any thing to do with the shampoo and conditioner
I don't pay that close attention, but I've noticed this too.

It's like your hair becomes immune to a certain shampoo over time.
yeah hah, it just because youve used your other shampoo for a while, so a new one makes a big difference.
    It makes a little sense.

I never really pay that much attention.

But now that I think of it,it does make my hair look better...
its actually been found out to be healthy for your hair to change your shampoo each time, but it can be costly.
This is because you want believe it.
    no
it's all in your head. you don't actually have hair.
