What shampoo/conditioner is good for my kind of hair?

I have medium-length, wavy, thick brown hair. I want my hair to become straighter, smoother, and longer, and a little bit more thinned out with the help of good shampoo/conditioner.

i have thick kind of wavy brown hair too! and i used to use the cheap crappy shampoo thats a dollar a bottle...suave or anything else that might have been just as cheap or cheaper. i never thought to try anything better! until i got my hair done at a salon and the lady told me that my hair was very dry and damaged. i didnt know it cuz i never cared. she said to buy something that says remoisturize on the bottle. so i bought vanilla volumize shampoo from bath and body works and i bought remoisturize tresemme conditioner! they made my hair sooo much nicer! i no longer feel like i have the worst hair! i now know that just because my genes gave me tough to handle hair doesnt mean it cant be beautiful!
